Screenplay

I set out writing screenplays as way of exploring ideas I had amassed that I felt would lend themselves better to a defined narrative structure, ideas I couldn't fully explore through any other medium I work in. As I primarily work in visual media the technique of communicating ideas through a visual language such as film seemed to allow me to give better expression to those ideas than applying them into a form I hadn't previously worked in, such as a literary novel.
Nirodha Point has been the predominant vehicle for these ideas and has taken about four years to reach the form it is in now. It looks into themes such as belief and material excess which have informed my painting work but not neccesarily revealed themesleves overtly. I am also writing a prequel, Past Nirodha, which expands on the ideas further but with a different stylistic approach.
